e began this venture with our first post in mid-January ... and here we are a few months later with 100+ posts. We are still trying to get comfortable in the blogging world. Some of the highlights of the first 100 posts are as follows:- AfroSpear - this is a growing network of Black blogs and bloggers that is cutting a path in the blogging jungle for our people.
- Blogging for Fame - This is a brand-new opportunity to promote the Electronic Village.
- Identifying ten bloggers that make us think - There are many others that I read regularly.
- Manic Monday meme - I enjoy using this weekly meme as an opportunity to share unique views of the African American experience.
- Million Dollar Avatar - Interesting concept.
- MyBlogLog Community - My traffic more than tripled when I joined this blogging community.
- Wordless Wednesday meme - one day I will share with you the reason that rhinos play such an important role in my visualization of success.

I have no idea where the next 100 posts will take us. However, I pledge to be consistent in efforts to grow our Electronic Village community. I hope that you will regularly sit underneath our baobob tree and enjoy dialogue with other elders in our village. Let's share information, ideas and thoughts with one another in an effort to grow and improve!
Feel free to share your thoughts, comments or village voice about your experience over the past 100 posts here in the Electronic Village. What would you like to see added? deleted? improved?

Congratulations. I just recently passed the century mark too.
Hey, I have a sugestion on a different spelling for the reference to Black bloggers. Why not say "Afrosphere" which ties in Afrikan people and "blogosphere" as a more natural contraction of both words?
Congrats and keep up the outstanding work.
Martin - Congrats on hitting the century mark! Methinks that the 'afrospear' and 'afrosphere' spelling are currently being used interchangeably. You'll notice that I go back & forth depending on how militant I'm feeling at any given moment (smile)! Have you formally joined the Afrophere group/family already?

Hey Villager!
Thanks so very much for sending me John Chow's ebook! Fyi, I posted about how wonderfully timed your sending it was at my other site and thanked you with a link.

CONGRATULATIONS! authoring 100 posts is quite an accomplishment in such a short amount of time... it took me almost a year to get to 100!
you're doing a great job and keep up the good work. BLOG ON!
Congrats. Just keep posting. We all need it.
Happy 100th! If you don't mind me asking, where do you get those thought-provoking quotes you run along the left side of you blog?
Keep up the great work!
Wow, you're moving fast. I started my www.blackperspective.net at the end of February and I'm only up to 18 post.
Well, congrats on the milestone. I'm just trying to hit 50 by the end of the summer.
Villager:
Congrats.
Today, May 31, I celebrated with post 1088 and counting.
I can honestly say that I have been a proud villager "almost" from the get go. I look forward to my visits and ALWAYS come away both educated and enlightened my friend.
My advice is simple...
Keep doing what you do and I will be here with you.
Be well
KweenKong, Plez, Rethabile and Yobachi - Shukran!
Lori - Thanks for the kind words. I'm currently using quotes from a Sabayt Publications booklet called 'Famous Black Quotations'.
Danielle - Thank you for your continued support and advice. I readily acknowledge that I got through my first month as a blogger with insights and examples that I rec'd from Modern Musings! You pointed me to Wordless Wednesdays and other features that are currently used here in the Electronic Village. I'm proud to have you as a blogger colleague!
Hey Villager, thanks for putting a smile on my face. Happy 100th!
Keep up the amazing work!
Benin - My pleasure! It is fun to see the growth of the Black bloggers out here in the Afrosphere!
peace, Villager
