Together We Can Destroy Our Enemies and Protect Our Children
Jim Clingman is an Original Villager! He is an author, national columnist and community activist. He demonstrates his love for people of African descent in everything that he does. He wrote a column in 2000 called 'Serengeti Plain-tation' that focused on the need for our people to stand up for one another ... especially for our children. The column told us that we are a powerful people when we act collectively instead of worrying about what will happen to us individually. His column emphasized the need for us to protect our children.
There is a definite need to be vigilant with the protection of our youth's consciousness. It is vital that we expose them with materials that uplift consciousness. We need to be reading these materials as well. Ecbacc.com has a STARS program that is promoting self-archetypal perception for the youth. Hope is definitely not lost. Hope prevails. It also grows in any crop...
Zoe - Thank you for taking time to visit and share your thoughts. I agree with you ... hope prevails. That is actually why I think that Barack Obama will be elected president. He brings out the hope in us. Anyhow, thank you for visiting the village!
The eight minute motivational video that Jim Clingman posted is amazing! Someone labeled it 'Serengeti plains' However 'Kruger Game reserve' is in South Africa. What is even more astonishing is that these animals confined to a relatively 'small space' (per animal) in this reserve, have learned to 'fight' as verses 'flight' for survival because they have nowhere else to go... Other game reserves are much bigger along the Serengeti,Kagalagadi Transfrontier park, Hwange Game Reserve, and near Ngorongoro Crater... The unmistakeable voices of South African whites, (also speaking afrikaans) adds to the many ways to analyze this remarkable video.... Thanks for bringing this to our attention..
I know I posted this at the link you provided, but just in case you missed it in that older post: Being somewhat familiar with your Blog and community participants, I will take your comment at my Blog as high praise, villager. (Again!) Thank you kindly.

ReplyDeleteMDT - I originally posted the video back in August 2008. However, I was reminded of it recently and thought it worthwhile to repost...
ReplyDeleteThat was amazing! Thank you for sharing this Villager! Those buffalo were thinking "yes we can!!" And they did!
ReplyDeleteAnali - The only thing better would have been to see a rhino come charging down to protect those baby water buffaloes (smile)...
