Jams - I'm glad that my WW post was enlightening and informative for you. Hopefully others will also learn of this terrible injustice being done in our country.
Here in Los Angeles the mainstream media has finally decided it was politically correct to air the Jena Six story. Television station CBS and KCAL has both run the newsworthy story, as well as KFI Radio. And the Los Angeles Times has finally chimed in last Saturday with a detailed report on the Jena Six.
Blogs like Electronic Village have played an important role in keeping the Blogosphere aware of injustice.
Ed - It is very good to see that the mainstream media is picking up the story. Hopefully, it will help the Jena legal system to bring this matter to a just ending.
This is a fantastic post. It says alot without saying anything at all. This has been all over the news here and I have to say it's a very troubling story. We live in a sad society.
My apologies: I only just today learned of the Jena 6 (because I don't watch TV and barely listen to NPR, only if I run out of podcasts) but I heard NPR this morning and they had a thorough background of the case. I checked CNN when I got home and saw that things are moving and I am pleased. Hard to believe this is the twenty-first century. They interviewed a white resident of Jena who said they always "punish bad boys." I just bet they do.
Meeyauw - I'm glad that you learned about Jena 6 today. It is an important milestone in trying to fix the criminal *in*justice system in our country. Time will tell if the powers-that-be will heed the will of the people.
