Is Barack Obama the New Rocky Balboa?
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Wow, somebody has a lot of free time on their hands! But it was pretty funny. But all chopped up and then put back together that way, yea you really could make a movie out of this campaign...
I don't agree with people saying that Obama was ambushed last night. It seems that some people believe that Obama is "untouchable" and should not be questioned on his misstatements or some of the issues. He is not running for class president nor is Hillary Clinton. They should all be held to the same standard and levels of accountability. Hillary Clinton has lost her MO since she had to admit last night that Obama is fit to be president. I wonder what she will tell the superdelegates now that she had to admit that. Also, she was cornered into admitting that she LIED on Bosnia. That had to be embarrassing. The debate was pretty monotonous to me, having watched them all. I don't think Obama was ambushed and I cannot understand why he is getting frustrated when asked about the misstatements and why he disinvited Rev. Wright from coming to his invocation ceremony because sometimes he (Wright)can get a little rough. I am with whoever asked the question, there had to be a reason why he did this over a year ago. Is it important to his candidacy, no, but it will be used against him nonetheless. Just my two cents.
Sojourner, Regina and Janet - This seemed like the worst of the 21 debates. I thought that Charlie Gibson and George Stephnopolus did a horrible job by focusing on tabloid topics instead of on economy, gas prices, home mortgages, crime, Iraq war and so forth.
Sojourner - I don't think that any voter wants to hear any more about Rev. Wright or Bosnia or any of the other petty junk. Voters need to know where they stand on major policy areas. The media and Hillary Clinton enjoy gotcha politics of the last 15-20 years ... doesn't solve anything. Barack hit that message hard last night at the debate. I think that Hillary loses when she encourages these personal, negative attacks that have nothing to do with being president. It was good to finally see her admit that Barack can beat McCain. Her previous comments made it seem like she would personally be campaigning for McCain if Barack becomes the nominee...
Lady D - I understand what Obama is doing ... laying low and letting time click off the clock until the nomination. However, I do wish he would get back to bold and large discussions about his vision for America's future ... the vision of hope. Rope-a-dope strategy has been a'ight ... but, Ali started pounding Foreman to get the knockout. I'd like to see Obama start pounding McCain/Clinton to get his own knockout...
Rosemarie - Blog Safari...I like that! I call it trolling, but safari sounds so much better!
This video does show that someone has a lot of time on their hands, but it also shows the amount of creativity and motivation this campaign has sparked in folks...I absolutely love it!
Rosemarie and Ms. Marvalus - There are definitely some creative folks out there. I'm glad I was able to share this one with you and other interested villagers...

Regina - Did you watch the ABC presidential debate last night? If so, what was your take on it...
ReplyDeleteThis is great!!!
ReplyDeleteI thought Barack held his own last night and didn't give Hillary anything to increase her lead in PA next week. What do you think? SjP
No I am taking a debate break! I think I am overwhelmed and/or just tired of it all. I CNN and then come here for the "REAL" news!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I meant, I watch CNN and then come here for the real news!!

LMAO!
ReplyDeleteThe video is definitely a good pick me up!
I did not watch the total debate. I did see the last five minutes of it. That was enough for me.
After having viewed the recap coverage~I am glad that I continued to watch Law and Order CI.
