Keith Olbermann: 'We Cannot Forgive You Senator Clinton'
Villagers, Keith Olbermann lets it all hang out in his 'Special Comment'.
BWB The Trumpet - Everything that you see on this blog can be used anywhere you or any other villager want to use it. I'm grateful that you've taken time to visit with us. I hope we give you reason to come back often...
Keith can sometimes go on a pseudo-rant, but you could tell that this one was really heartfelt.
This is one thing from which she cannot come back; her comments were wrong on so many levels, and her weak response only made it worse. She never really apologized!
Wow. I just came home from work and learned about this. I can't believe my eyes--that any presidential candidate, in 2008, would stoop *that* low, and Sen. Clinton has shown that she can get pretty low.
And that in her "apology," she only apologized to the Kennedys, yeah that speaks volumes.
Mike - She looked so pained and pitiful when she was apologizing to the Kennedy family. I wonder if she realizes how much her legacy has been hurt by the past six weeks?
Slant Truth - I think that Clinton's doom is complete with her RFK assassination reference...
What say I? What else is it to say? This woman has gone from being comical to delusional to pathetic to diabolical and scary. It is as if she is holding America hostage. This far worse than anything Rove orchestrated during the Bush campaigns. What she is doing is political terrorism. And this coming on the heels of Huckabee's insideous remarks scares the h*ll out of me because history has shown us the lengths to which ignorance, hatred, and greed provide the impetus to destroy lives and honor.
What say I? I say like MLK..."we have some difficult days ahead"!
Sojourner - 'Political Terrorism' is an excellent description. I just wonder when Howard Dean and the uncommitted delegates will realize that they no longer need to be held hostage? When will they realize that they have a duty to do what's right for the country ... not to mention their political party ... and put an end to this madness...
Kismet - My mom doesn't get cable television. So she isn't able to see shows like Countdown. I was thinking about her when I posted his rant from yesterday. I thought that all of us need to see said what we've all been thinking to ourselves...
I have always LOVED Keith Olberman, even when I disagreed with him on occasion. He's the only person alive who can tell someone off better than the sisters in my inner circle.
SheCodes - I think that Keith would enjoy that designation! Oddly enough, I recall watching him on television when he was a reporter on ESPN and listening to him and Dan Patrick when they tag-teamed for an hour each afternoon on ESPN-Radio. He is a remarkably talented media person ... and he found his niche as the voice for liberals...
Martin & Believer - I hear ya' both! Hopefully, Howard Dean or Nancy Pelosi will show some leadership on this matter...
Hillary Clinton will say or do anything, even at this late date, to try to win the nomination... even if it means trampling the principles of her own party.
Hillary Clinton either REALLY wants to alienate black voters (even to the cost of her Senate seat) by unashamedly race-baiting, OR she is so exhausted from the campaign that she has become totally punchy & incoherent.
In either event, she has shown that she hasn't got either the physical strength, the mental strength, or strength of character to be President of the United States.
Mike & Gunfighter - You are both on point. I accept that Hillary Clinton wants to stay in the election thru June 3rd so that she can have a talking point about winning the popular vote ... without acknowledging that a number of the caucus states aren't included in her calculations because they didn't count the popular vote. At the end of the day, it won't matter. What will matter is how Team Clinton acts in defeat. Do they continue to whine sexism and stay home ... or do they aggressively campaign on behalf of Obama ... much as Romney and Huckabee are doing for McCain.
I remember seeing this video before 9pm last Friday night. I was just made aware of the RFK comment about an hour before. I had to call a family relative to watch the rebroadcast around especially by 10:45pm the same night. A minute after 11pm, my phone was buzzing . . . Kudos to Keith.
AfroAmericaWriter - I was talking with a white guy today about the RFK comment. We both realized that we had both heard the same comment and we both reached different conclusions. He took it as a stand-alone comment. I took it as the final straw in a series (Huckabee, Roswell Beacon crosshairs photo, RFK, closely followed by Liz Trotta) of events that appeared to be putting the idea of assassination in the public domain...where it should never be allowed to flourish.
Anyhow, thanks again for taking time to share your village voice with us...

SjP
I say....
ReplyDeleteI am beating the drums wildly...
In solidary...
with Olbermann's oh so on point assessment and ROAST of Hillary.
(Our fury at her remarks is self-evident)

ReplyDeleteCan't I make him an honorary 'Black Queen'? LOL
O.K. all you Clintonites. Did she "mis-speak" again?
ReplyDeleteI said it earlier this week. The woman is fomenting a race war. I don't see how any of you can support her crazy @$$ with a clear conscience.
Keith said it well and with passion regarding HRC's inexcusable and unforgivable statements.
ReplyDeleteWill somebody please corner that woman and set her straight!

Keith Olbermann is cracking me up these days but he is in the right place with this one.
ReplyDeleteClinton has been putting her foot in her mouth so much she is starting to look like Bush.
I am looking for Obama to win but I dont want Clinton's political career to be 86ed which is what she is doing with her big mouth.
Senator Clinton has lost her mind.
ReplyDeleteHere are the major problems as I see them
Hillary Clinton will say or do anything, even at this late date, to try to win the nomination... even if it means trampling the principles of her own party.
Time to go, Senator... and take Bill with you.
Mike & Gunfighter - You are both on point.
