Nominations Open for Black Weblog Awards


The nomination process for the 2008 Black Weblog Awards are open from August 1-16. I encourage all villagers to learn more about these awards. However, the main thing is for you to take a moment to nominate your favorite Black owned/operated blogs.

Here’s who I nominated:
I took some time to try to identify a nominee for each category. I didn't know who to nominate for Best Fictional Blog, Best Food Blog, Best Music Blog, Best Teen Blog or Best Video Blog. I felt odd nominating my own blog ... but, the rules allow for it ... so I went with it.

    Think2wice.org is ran by teens. I'm very proud of them.

    Thanks for the nomination and i'm definitely gonna get my list together. You have to win atleast 2 because you guys are really doing your thing over here. Keep up the good work!

    On the rules page...

    "You cannot nominate your own blog. However, feel free to encourage your readers to nominate you. This also applies to finalists; you cannot vote for your own blog. All judges are ineligible to win any of the Awards for any of their blogs; this is accepted by them upon becoming judges."

    I was going to nominate myself until I saw that. I could be wrong though!

    SJP - Just keep doin' what you're doin'! I hope you take time to submit your own nominations as well!

    RDawg - It is hard to remember all the possible blogs when you have 1 shot at entering your nominations. Aren't you a defending champion already?

    Butta - I'm sorry that I didn't think of your blog as I was making my nominations. I'm not able to go back in to make the nomination now ... so, I'm hopeful that other villagers will consider adding you to their nomination! Did you make your BWA nominations already?
