Landor wrote in one post, “O-dumb-a, the situation got ‘out of hand’ because Gates is a racist, not because the officer was DOING HIS JOB!”
In response to one Facebook user who voiced disagreement, Ms. Landor referred to Professor Gates using a vulgarity and added, “And racial profiling does exist, but for good reason. Take a look at this country’s jails: who makes up the majority of inmates? Exactly.”Landor defended her entries, but added: “It is understandable that a Black man encountering police will be suspicious of racial profiling, based on the long history of racism in this country.”
This woman was a press secretary and she didn't have the common sense to know the impact of putting your thoughts in print? Did she forget her position and career when she posted that crap?

I won't refute her comments because in this space we are not surprised by this attitude. What's different here for me, is her stupidity to commit her views in print given her profession and status.
Color Online - Aside from stupidity ... methinks that her age, 24, may explain alot. She will learn some of life's hard lessons with this incident. I doubt she will ever get another job as a press secretary again...
ReplyDeleteSome of the whites angry about us having a black president are really starting to show their true colors. I am thankful for sites like Facebook because it allows people like Ms. Landor to expose their idiocy for all the world to see.

People had to have known that with the election of a black man as president was going to allow racism to resurface, only now, it has gone tech which allows peoples hatred to be seen and felt instantaneously.

Post-racial society? Yeah! Right! It is amazing to me just how afraid some white folks are because there is a Black president. The "black-lash" of that fact have folks truly going off the deep end. I truly don't understand why they are so afraid. It ain't like people of color were taking over the world and the white race was becoming extinct. Hmmm... guess it IS like people of color are...
