Reparations: The Blog for Economic & Political Empowerment
Villagers, one of the brothers that I met at the Blogging While Brown conference last month was Jabriel Ballentine. He is an entrepreneur and activist.
One of his blogs is called, 'Reparations: The Blog for Economic & Political Empowerment - by Simmonds Ballentine'. The stated mission of the blog is to engage Black people in reparations through commentary; to motivate the grassroots and; to hold leadership accountable. The blog seeks to build an active grassroots & become the leading vehicle for political activity in the Community by capitalizing on emerging technologies to empower Community defenders.
Jabriel operates with a race-first ideology that respects all. He seeks to recruit, develop and empower new Black Leadership committed to erasing disparities faced by the Community.
As I read his blog I was reminded of the MATAH movement from a few years ago. Anyhow, I just wanted to introduce Jabriel and his blog to those of you in our electronic village. Check it out if you have time or inclination.
