Old School Friday: Smokey Robinson & The Miracles

The theme for this week's Old School Friday meme is 'Baby'. The idea is to post a song that has the word 'Baby' in it. I considered going with Luther Vandross or Marvin Gaye or Sam Cooke. They each had a song that would qualify.

However, there is a song that not only had the word 'Baby' in the title ... it provided a path for our imaginations to run wild.

    Great minds...and all that! This was one of my picks as well. There is something about the way he croons "baby baby" in this song that just gives the word so much meaning.

    I thought about this song, too. I decided to go with the memories instead of the tunes...

    Smokey had one of the best falsetto voices, and his writing skills were off the chain.
