Unique Building * Kansas City Public Library
Established in 1873 as the Public School Library of Kansas City, the institution became a cultural center for the city. Basically, the side of the building features bunch of famous books by bunch of famous writers. Have you read all the books *ON* the building?

ReplyDeleteDJ - I wasn't expecting *that* reaction (smile). I've been posting these 'unique building' posts every week or so. I still have 5-6 to go...
ReplyDeleteLOL I have been seeing the buildings, but like I said he is a Librarian so it really touched him.
ReplyDeleteThe building designer or Architect really had a good idea. Cleverly placing bookends on the walls of a library! Wow, I hope he/she got an award for their imagination.
ReplyDeleteThis is in my city! It is a fascinating site indeed, one of my favorite places...
ReplyDeleteKenny - I don't know if the architect received any awards ... but, I gotta believe that (s)he must be very proud.
ReplyDeleteMarvalus - It is a wonderful source of Kansas City civic pride! Now, if you can just get a winning football team again... (sez the guy from Cincinnati Bengals land) :)
