Wordless Wednesday: Keshia Thomas, A Strong Black Woman
Villagers - Strong women - it takes strength to show mercy. In this photo we see Keshia Thomas, 18, using her body to shield a man from protesters at a Ku Klux Klan rally in Ann Arbor, Mich. A crowd had begun to beat him with sticks after spotting a Confederate flag on his jacket.
"Just because you beat somebody doesn't mean you're going to change his mind," Thomas said.
