This is supposed to be the last week in the US Senate for Larry Craig. He announ
ced plans to retire on 9/30/07 a few weeks ago. He hopes to be the new Comeback Kid if he can just get his guilty plea reversed in Minnesota. Beldar has bad news for Craig. Craig gambled that he could keep his bathroom escapades a secret from the public ... and he lost. It appears he will lose again this week.
I imagine that he is sleeping on the couch at home as well!

ReplyDeleteSenator Craig has apparently voted against the Kennedy hate crimes amendment, which would add gays to the federal hate crime statute.
If he voted against gays, he can’t possibly be gay, right?
Let’s see if the court reviewing his bathroom sex sting case buys it.
UPDATE: the hate crimes measure passed the Senate this morning by a vote of 60-39.
