One more thing, Villager. I've just been getting caught up on your site because, as you know, I've been out of pocket awhile. The site just looks so great, man. Your work and dedication to the message is simply beautiful. It was great when it started, and now...wow.
Also, I came across your post of earlier this month where you said you missed my site. That really touched me, I wanted you to know, and I very much appreciate your sentiments. It's good to be back, and I definitely missed being kept up to date by your site as well. Your site isn't just enjoyable, it's necessary.
Mrs. Grapevine - I found this clip over on Jack and Jill Politics. That blog has become one of my regular daily reads ... and it is now one of the top ten Black blogs in the universe...
Keith - My words were heartfelt. I always enjoy your blog's flow and it helps that your frequent topic ... Detroit ... is a place that my oldest daughter is livin'. Welcome back to the afrosphere young bro'!
Gibbler here: ok now I understand your site. I guess I will just post here and there. About this what did James Brown say Talkin loud sayin nothin?" The Ghetto Boys said it too. Basically he is saying the same thing as me; pull your black ass out of the primordial soup. Quit primping and preening and polishing the turd that it your race. Flush it and have something else for dinner and quit worrying about who's coming.
Mrsgrapevine has taken the words out of my mouth. However I would like to add, that I fear the true politician in him to come out. Passing on values for power. Lets pray the greed does not overcome within him.
Sojourner - JJP is one of the top ten Black blogs in the universe (the Apr 2008 rankings will be out tomorrow). I have them on my RSS feed!
Kem - Your prayer is a good one. The adulation that he receives from crowds all over America would be difficult to ignore in terms of pride and the human 'rush' it must provide. My hope is that he is spiritually grounded to remember that pride comes before the fall and that his wife and children will also keep him grounded. At this stage he hasn't won yet...
