We Are Virginia Tech

Today is the five-year anniversary of a horrendous massacre at Virginia Tech. It is a good time to remember the powerful words of Virginia Tech professor Nikki Giovanni. Our prayers are with the 32 families that lost a child on that sad and violent day.

Great tribute. Sad day. To think there was another young man who took his life connected to VT. Sad.

Beautiful tribute - the speech you cited is exquisite. This resonates with me in particular today as it would have been my older sister's 71st birthday if she had not been murdered in 1988. Sometimes the things that are the worst in this world bring out the best in us.

I can't believe it's already been a year. What a horrible time. My thoughts are with the families and loved ones of all who were lost.
