Jessie Dotson Goes to Death Row for First Degree Murder in the Lester Street Massacre [VIDEO]

Villagers may recall that this blog provided the horrific details of the Lester Street Massacre that took place March 2008 in Memphis, TN. Jessie Dotson was arrested in connection with the deaths of six people, including two children.

The jury in his trial found him guilty on six counts of first degree murder and another three counts of first degree attempted murder in the attacks on three children who survived the massacre. Some of the surviving children testified against their "Uncle Junior" in the 10-day trial that concluded earlier today. [SOURCE]

The judge told Jessie Dotson that he would die by lethal injection, concluding with the single comment, "May God to have mercy on Dotson's soul."

This blog has been known to fight against the death penalty in the past. However, we will not have any protest to the lethal injection taking place for Jessie Dotson. He is truly an evil man who forfeited his human rights when he went on his murderous Lester Street rampage two years ago.

The capital murder case against 34-year-old Jessie Dotson is expected to take at least three weeks. Dotson faces six counts of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of being a felon in possession of a handgun. The victims were relatives or friends of Dotson's, including a brother and two nephews who were killed.

Dotson remains in jail without bond.

Police Arrest Jessie Dotson as the Lester Street Murderer

Police announced today that 33 year-old Jessie Dotson will be charged with six counts of first degree murder and three counts of attempted first degree murder. The police say that the Lester Street Massacre was the result of a family argument between two brothers that turned deadly.

As we shared with you earlier, Jessie Dotson just got out of prison January 26th, after serving time for second degree murder. Police say Jessie Dotson shot and killed his brother Sunday, March 2nd, after an argument, and then shot the three other adults in the home. He also stabbed the five children. Three of the children survived and are being treated at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center.

It appears that the MS-13 gang didn't do this crime. Just a punk brother and uncle. How do you lose your mind to the point that you stab five children resulting in death to two of the toddlers? Could this really be about a leather coat?

Anyhow, Villagers, this is a good day to reach out to your brothers, sisters, uncles and aunts and let them know that you love them unconditionally. We need to repair our family units and connections so that atrocities such as the Lester Street Massacre have shown us this week.

Lester Street Massacre Leaves Four Adults and Two Toddlers Dead in Memphis

Police found nine people (four adults and five children) inside 722 Lester Street in Memphis earlier this week. Only three of the children were alive. The father of the five children was 29-year old Cecil Dotson. He was one of four adults and two toddlers murdered in the home.

Memphis Police discovered the bodies of Cecil Dotson (shown in photo), Hollis Seals, Marissa Williams, Shindri Roberson, and two young boys at the house on Monday, March 3, 2008. This wasn't a simple killing like we see on television. These killers were sadistic. The children were killed and cut-up and the parents were forced to watch.

These were horrific murders. One of the victims, Shindri Roberson, was shot twice in her kneecaps and then suffocated. One of the toddlers died with a knife stuck in its skull and all of the fingers were cut off another child. [SOURCE].

Another victim, Marissa Williams, filed a restraining order against Cecil Dotson in 2005. Despite the order of protection, it appears that Marissa Williams lived with Dotson and their children at the Lester Street house. The two of them were dysfunctional. The police came to their home twice last month for violations of the restraining order.

A few weeks ago a police report filed showing Cecil Dotson and his 33-year old brother, Jesse, getting into an argument. According to the incident report, Jessie tried to take his brother's leather coat. When Cecil told him to give it back, Jessie pulled a gun.

Jesse Dotson is not a good guy. He was released from prison last year after serving 13-years in prison on a second degree murder charge. While in prison officials say he was disciplined 29-times. The incidents include hurling verbal threats at employees. He's also accused of shanking an inmate. Investigators say they believe it was gang related ... perhaps the MS-13 gang? Officials at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center released a statement today regarding the children who survived the Lester Street attack. "The three children who were victims of the Lester Street incident remain in protective custody at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. With the Memphis Police Department, we continue to ensure that these children are never alone and are receiving the care they need. The security of our patients is our top priority, today and every day.
