Birthers: Fear of a Black President

President Barack Obama celebrated his 49th birthday yesterday. Of course, this was simply another reason for the wacko "birther" movement folks to go crazy.

CNN released a poll that shows many Republicans (and others) in America are still buying into the nonsense that Manchurian Muslim who has infiltrated the White House:

• Forty-two percent of those questioned say they have absolutely no doubts that the president was born in the U.S., while 29-percent say he "probably" was.

"Not surprisingly, there are big partisan differences, although a majority of Republicans thinks Obama was definitely or probably born here," says CNN Polling Director Keating Holland.

"Eighty-five percent of Democrats say that Obama was definitely or probably born in the U.S., compared to 68 percent of independents and 57 percent of Republicans. Twenty-seven percent of Republicans say he was probably not born here, and another 14 percent of Republicans say he was definitely not born in the U.S."

That means some 41 percent of Republicans say Obama was probably or definitely not born in the United States.

The only reason that 41% of Republicans think such a thought is FEAR. Republicans ... primarily old white men ... simply have a insatiable fear of a Black president. They rather believe that he was born in Africa then believe that a majority of Americans voted on November 4, 2008 to make an African American the most powerful person on the planet.

When will Republicans ... and other white Americans ... get over their fear of a Black president. For that matter, when will they stop letting racial prejudice inform their every behavior and emotion?

Give 'Birther' Terry Lakin His Wish -- Court-Martial His Misguided Palin-JoePlumber-McCain Butt Right Away!

The November 2008 election of Barack Obama as our president and commander-in-chief is driving ignorant white folks stark-raving mad.

Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) used to be a reasonable lawmaker. Lately, he seems more and more like a sad and desperate politician destined to lose his job in November. He spends a great deal of time attacking President Obama.

Half-term quitter Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) used to be the most popular governor in America and the darling of the Republican Party. Now she is a celebrity seeking to get every penny she can from her elongated 15 minutes of fame. She spends most of her time attacking President Obama.

An entire Tea Party movement has grown over the past year. They spit at Black politicians, yell epitaphs at congressmen, carry racist signs at their rallies, and appear to be about 99% white folks. They spend most of their time attacking President Obama.

Joe Plumber became a pop culture icon in 2008 when he began attacking President Obama. His sidekick is LTC Terry Lakin. Lakin is an 18-year military veteran who is asking to be court-martialed rather than obey his military orders to report to Afghanistan. Why? Because Lakin isn't convinced that President Obama was born in America.

Yep ... this clown is buying into the myth that Barack Obama is a foriegner ... and as such Lakin doesn't feel any obligation to obey orders issued by the commander-in-chief.

It seems to irk these folks that Barack and Michelle Obama are in the White House. The attacks almost always seem personal in nature ... and rarely do they seem based on policy.

The next seven years of the Obama administration are really gonna be rough on these misguided miscreants. Don't you agree?

Birthers Are Like Cockroaches...

Scientists tell us that roaches will survive World War III and the dropping of nuclear bombs. I figure that 'birthers' are the same way. A century from now when the exploits of President Barack Obama are in our history books there will still be 'birthers' complaining that his administration was an illegal sham because he was born in Kenya ... not America.

As such, I'm no longer surprised when I read stories like this one:

A California judge tentatively scheduled a trial for Jan. 26, 2010, for a case that challenges Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president based on questions over his qualifications under the requirements of the U.S. Constitution.

The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and “possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief.”

In the U.S. Justice Department’s motion to dismiss, attorneys didn’t address the concerns directly, but instead focused their efforts on technical procedures, suggesting the matter can’t be decided in court and that the dozens of plaintiffs cannot demonstrate they have been injured by having Obama in the Oval Office.

The suit alleges Obama is actually a citizen of Indonesia and "possibly still citizen of Kenya, usurping the position of the president of the United States of America and the commander-in-chief."

These folks don't seem to want to acknowledge President Obama's birth certificate (see photo). I'm coming to realization that these folks aren't concerned about politics or policy or rebuilding our economy or delivering health care reform ... these folks simply have a personal disdain and dislike for our President. It doesn't matter if he wants to talk with America's students or eliminate our nation's energy dependency ... they will rant, rave and create tea parties against him.

Alabama Senator Shelby Claims Obama is Not a US Citizen

Soulclap to Black Politics on the Web for pointing us to a town hall meeting in Cullman County, Alabama where U. S. Senator Richard Shelby spoke on rumors of President Obama’s citizenship.

The Cullman Times reports:

Another local resident asked Shelby if there was any truth to a rumor that appeared during the presidential campaign concerning Obama’s U.S. citizenship, or lack thereof. “Well his father was Kenyan and they said he was born in Hawaii, but I haven’t seen any birth certificate,” Shelby said. “You have to be born in America to be president.”

Villagers understand that Barack Obama was born in the state of Hawaii in 1961, a native citizen of the United States of America. Somebody point Senator Shelby to this blog post so that he can see Obama's birth certificate.
