Halloween Brings Out the Anti-Obama Fools in Oklahoma

An Oklahoma man who outraged at least one neighbor by including an Obama headstone as part of his Obama Halloween display is refusing to take it down. [SOURCE]

The headstone with the name “Obama” and what appears to be blοod dripping down from the name has some wondering what Dockens was thinking when he added it to his holiday display.

“He is the president of the United States, and it actually is about respect,” said Dockens’ neighbor, Jamila Phillips, . “It’s a total respect thing because this person is still alive.”

Phillips, who is Black, said she felt she had a responsibility to bring attention to Docken’s Halloween decorations and worries about how the bloοdy Obama headstone will impact her kids.  Although Phillips only recently moved to the neighborhood, Dockens said he’s been putting up the Obama display for the last three years without issue.

“We made them a few years ago back when it was a big deal, questions up about his birth certificate,” Dockens said. “And we made all these ourselves, so just thought it was kind of humorous and, you know, went ahead and put him in there, as well.”

And there may be the problem.  The rest of this fool's neighbors seem to think it is perfectly OK to have such a disrespectful Halloween display in the front yard!  Dockens said even though he’s rubbed his neighbor the wrong way, he has no plans of taking the tombstone down.

“I certainly didn’t mean to offend anybody or cause any problems,” he said. “Don’t know that I would take it down.”

Obama's Weekly Address: The World Is United in the Fight Against ISIL

In this week’s address (transcript/video), the President thanked Congress for its strong bipartisan support for efforts to train and equip Syrian opposition forces to fight ISIL. This plan is part of the President’s comprehensive counter-terrorism strategy to degrade and destroy the terrorist group, and does not commit our troops to fighting another ground war. America, working with a broad coalition of nations, will continue to train, equip, advise, and assist our partners in the region in the battle against ISIL.

In the coming week, the President will speak at the United Nations General Assembly and continue to lead the world against terror, a fight in which all countries have a stake.

DNC Ad Uses President Obama to Rally Black Voters

President Obama is featured in a new ad for the Democratic National Committee, the first in a $1 million campaign to turn out young, minority and female voters in the midterm elections.

The radio ad titled “Obstruction” released Monday laments the opposition Obama has faced from congressional Republicans. It is aimed at black voters and will run on African American radio stations nationwide.

“No Democratic President in U.S history has faced the level of obstruction from the Republicans that Barack Obama has. It’s critical that we continue to fight for change and vote on Nov. 4,” the narrator says.

Obama then outlines his vision for an economy where “hard work pays off.” The radio spot features excerpts from a speech, where the president touts higher wages, affordable health insurance and decent health benefits.

President Obama: 'We Will Degrade and Destroy ISIL'

In this week’s address, the President reiterated his comprehensive and sustained counter-terrorism strategy to degrade and ultimately destroy the terrorist group ISIL.

His plan brings together a campaign of targeted airstrikes, increased support for Iraqi and Kurdish forces already taking on terrorists, assistance from allies and partners, expanded efforts to train and equip the Syrian opposition, and ongoing humanitarian aid for those displaced by ISIL. The President expressed his immense appreciation for the military men and women who make these efforts possible, and reminded the world that America continues to lead and stand strong against terror.

James Baldwin vs. New Hampshire Police Chief Who Called Obama the N-Word

So, did you hear about 82-year old Robert Copeland, the New Hampshire police commissioner who called President Obama the 'N-word' while dining in a public restaurant? It turns out that a citizen heard him and wrote a complain to City Hall complaining about his blatant racism.

Do you think that the old codger apologized? Not even a little bit.

In an email response to O’Toole’s complaint to town officials, Copeland, admitted to having made the comment, writing,

“I believe I did use the ‘N’ word in reference to the current occupant of the Whitehouse. For this, I do not apologize — he meets and exceeds my criteria for such.”

Copeland is one of three elected police commissioners in Wolfeboro, an overwhelmingly white town with 6,300 residents, about 20 of whom are Black. His boss, Joseph Balboni Jr. says that he doesn’t plan to ask Copeland to resign.

“He’s (Copeland) worked with a lot of Blacks in his life,” Balboni said.

Being white in America often means you can be elected to a public office without ever having to apologize for your racist remarks or behavior. Racism still runs rampant in America. Sometimes there are consequences.  Other times there are not.   The Wolfeboro ctizens hope to use 'shame' to get Copeland to resign.

Copeland is a old and foolish. The fact that he is responsible for law enforcement policy in his town makes him dangerous. But, maybe it's our fault...

They are playing the 2014 NBA All-Star game later today in New Orleans. We'll watch Kevin Durant, LeBron James and the rest of the NBA crew. However, our nation's true all-star is Barack Obama. My hope is that Barack Obama will be throw down a slam dunk on foreign policy, economic policy and so forth this year!

Obama's Weekly Address: 'Passing a Budget that Reflects our Priorities'

In this week's address, President Obama said that in order to keep growing the economy and creating good jobs, Washington must end its cycle of manufactured crises and self-inflicted wounds. It's time for both parties to work together to pass a budget that reflects our priorities -- making smart cuts in things we don't need and closing wasteful tax loopholes, while investing in areas that create opportunities for the middle class and our future generations.



I can't help but wonder how much farther along our nation would be if the Republican Party had decided to work with our 44th president when he was inaugurated back in January 2008 instead of their obstructionist tactics.

It is also the day when some Republicans in Congress might shut down the government just because they don't like the law. The President urged Congress to both pass a budget by Monday and raise the nation's debt ceiling so that we can keep growing the economy.



I think that the Republican Party is out-of-control and I don't doubt that they will shut down the government because they don't have a clue how to govern. What do you think?
