The Obama Song

Drumbeats from the Electronic Drum clued us in to this groove from Michael Franti and Spearhead. Without question the most remarkable memory of 2008 will be the election of Barack Obama as our 44th President of the United States. This song captures the spirit of his election better than anything else I've heard this year.

Enjoy!

I wonder what will become our most remarkable memory of the new year?

The song is wonderful. Kennedy had "High Hopes" sung by Sinatra, but this is both hopeful and fun. Let us all hope that all this promise comes true in 2009. Best wishes for a wonderful new year.

I dont know what will be the remarkable memory of 2009 but I do know that in 2008 "man throws shoe at Bush" is giving Obama wins election pics a run for it's money.

SjP and Jamie - Glad that you are enjoying the vibe! I hope we keep singing and living it for the next 4-8 years!

Mike - Bush & his Iraqi shoe are just blips in our memories. Obama is the real deal...
