The reactions around the world right after the election show the hope for Obama's upcoming presidency.

I truly believe that hope would not be left wanting when that come.

Off topic but, Would you like for your daughter, if you have one, to see that pic of the half naked woman you have posted on your front page? Is that what you want her to aspire to? And if you have a son, what message is he getting? Just asking. I thought this was a family oriented blog.

Back on topic - lets see the numbers. How are we going to rewrite DOD, State and other foreign agencies actions.

Most important for POTUS is to decide is are we in a world wide war?

AAW - Yes, I recall the photos of people from other nations taken on the evening of November 4th. They were quite astonishing. Much different than we would have seen if McCain won the election...

Just Me - This is my blog. It is meant for anyone interested in coming to visit. I appreciate your comment on the photo. Oddly enough it is one of the most popular links over the past few days. In any case, it will rotate off shortly...

Nati Change Cdr - Yeah, it is hard to wait another 33 days for Obama to formally take over as POTUS...

Hey there,

There seems to be a great deal of excitement around the world about the Obama presidency.

That excitement will wane if the Obama administration does not take bold steps to correct all of the vicious missteps made by the Bush war-mongering brigade that burned so many bridges across this globe.

Peace, blessings and DUNAMIS!

I have a question for the Afrospear - do you think that we have been a world war before Bush and are in one because of Bush?

This WAR is for REAL !

Who we at War with in totality is not yet clear, but to get out of a difficulty, one usually must go through it. The war in Iraq is a very large battle front. Even the War on Terror now is just a battlefront.

Cincinnati Change believes that the United States of America, our country, is now facing the most serious threat to its existence, as we know it. [we hadn't had the economy collapse then]

This War will be as bloody as the Civil War and as great a challenge as the Second World War.

We are in World War IV whether we like it or not, or whether we know it or like it. We cannot appease our out of this, the other side wants to win.

The deadly seriousness is greatly compounded by the fact that there are very few of us who think we can possibly lose this war and even fewer who realize what losing really means.

First, let’s examine a few basics:

1. When did the threat to us start?

Many will say September 11, 2001. The answer as far as the United States is concerned is 1979, 22 years prior to September 2001, with the following attacks on us:

* Iran Embassy Hostages, 1979;
* Beirut, Lebanon Embassy 1983;
* Beirut, Lebanon Marine Barracks 1983;
* Leon Klinghoffer October , 1985
* Lockerbie, Scotland Pan-Am flight to New York 1988;
* First New York World Trade Center attack 1993;
* Dhahran, Saudi Arabia Khobar Towers Military complex 1996;
* Nairobi, Kenya US Embassy 1998;
* Dares Salaam, Tanzania US Embassy 1998;
* Aden, Yemen USS Cole 2000;
* New York World Trade Center 2001;
* Pentagon 2001.

WE WILL NEVER FORGET
(Note that during the period from 1981 to 2001 there were 7,581 terrorist attacks worldwide).

Lisa - I agree that Obama has such high expectations that it will be difficult for him to meet them no matter what. However, his inner compass has guided him well thus far ... I hope he continues to follow it over the coming weeks and months...

Nati Change Cdr. - Thank you for sharing your village voice as well as the information in your comment. I understand and agree with the war on terror. I never understood or agreed with the war on Iraq. Bush and Cheney entered the war on Iraq for oil and misbegotten family pride (Bush's daddy vs. Sadaam).

Anyhow, we are counting on Obama to get us out of the war on Iraq while continuing the fight against terror(ism).
