What color would the line have been if the officer who shot the of-duty officer was black?

Gunfighter - Your point is well-taken. However, we don't have examples of Black cops shooting Black cops. We have examples of white cops shooting Black cops ...and it seems that our society's inability to see a Black man without seeing a threat contributes to more Black men being shot in situations like this one.

I agree. The great American fallacy of the black man monster/criminal is insidious.

NPR and other media outlets are covering the increase of domestic terrorist violence and who are these terrorists, white males yet this country perpetuates the myth that white women and children should fear black men.

Color Online - Part of the reason that our blogs exist is to turn around the negative stereotypes of Black men in the society. Every time I think we're making progress as a nation a situation such as this one where the Black man (cop) is shot by a colleague or something equally sinister...
