Edwards' Campaign Manager Endorses Obama

Former Michigan Rep. David Bonior, who served as John Edwards campaign manager endorsed Barack Obama for president today. Bonior is not a super-delegate, however, he is a powerful voice in the union movement. At one point, Bonior was the 2nd-highest ranked Democrat in the US House of Republicans.

I wonder if John Edwards will be next in line to endorse Obama?

Funny how Obama are getting these endorsements when the race is heading down. I guess that's politics though, and he has to play the game.

John Edwards and Obama are alot alike. I wish he'd endorsed Obama earlier (if in fact he does announce an endorsement).

I think that Edwards is playing the game -- he wants to get 'in' with whoever wins... but I don't know if it will work.

He would make a great VP for either candidate, I think, especially for Obama to win Clinton's 'core constituency' over.

I doubt that McCain would be able to overcome the charisma of that pairing.

@ shecodes: agreed @ mccain not being able to overcome obama/edwards

I voiced my opinion in favor of an Obama/Edwards ticket right after Edwards withdrew, and I still feel that would be a hot ticket.

I am not surprised that some are waiting to the near end to pick a side, that's politics...

Don, Regina & SheCodes - I understand that Obama now has more superdelegates than Clinton. Edwards is a good guy and would be good to work on issues related to poverty in an Obama campaign ... however, he didn't support Obama when he needed it (ohio, texas, pennsylvania or north carolina) so he shouldn't expect VP considerations...

IW - Yes...it was nice to see Edwards all energized. He would be a good Attorney General...
