Hillary Clinton Stays In Race Because Obama Might Be Assassinated Like Robert Kennedy

Hillary Clinton is a brilliant, calculating, power-hungry woman. She doesn't do anything by accident. Therefore, I don't think it was an accident that she told folks in South Dakota that she refuses to concede defeat for the Democratic Party nomination because Barack Obama might be assassinated.

Her exact words were,
"My husband did not wrap up the nomination in 1992 until he won the California primary somewhere in the middle of June, right? We all remember Bobby Kennedy was assassinated in June in California. I don't understand it."
Villagers, I am concerned about the careless way that Hillary Clinton, Mike Huckabee, Roswell Beacon, Francine Torge and Doris Lessing talk about assassination of the first legitimate African American candidate for President of the United States. It is rough enough to try to heal race relations rift in our nation without having white leaders such as Hillary Clinton making these types of comments.

The Obama campaign remains cool, calm and collected in their response to Clinton's comments: "Senator Clinton's statement before the Argus Leader editorial board was unfortunate and has no place in this campaign."

This is a serious and sensitive issue. It is also another reason that Hillary Clinton should simply GO AWAY! This ish truly makes a brotha mad! Somebody help me understand what motivates Hillary Clinton?

Villager - I don't know what motivates her but I do know she sure as hell knew exactly what she was saying and why. This is worse than Limbaugh inciting riots in Denver by far because she's basically hinting that someone should shoot him in my opinion.

Go away Hillary, Just go away.

Villager, you said it, power, and that thirst for power is really clouding her judgment. I mean really, she is still a presidential candidate, how would she feel if someone from the other two camps had dared to make such a "misstatement"?

Hello there! {waves}

I think I may have visited this blog before but...in case I haven't.... a nod to the blog host!

I would like to see if Obama starts denouncing Hillary's statements as racial divisive! He surely stepped up to the mic to denounce a black man (his own pastor who was a father-figure to him for 20 years) for statements he didn't agree with. I don't see him expressing outrage now.

A drawing of his wife appeared on the internet yesterday surrounded by KKK members with a brand on her back and her hands tied on a tree. He didn't make any statement about THAT.

Do we REALLY need a brotha in the White House who is not willing to be unpopular with white America? I am beginning to wonder!

Thanks for letting me blow my trumpet!

Villager,HRC has just shot herself in the foot. She has pretty much closed the door on any possibility of staying around much longer. Any argument with the remaining uncommitted super-delegates she thought she had, just went "POOF"

DP & Ada - I don't see how Hillary can get away with these statements this time. The best thing for her is that they occurred on a Friday afternoon in advance of a 3-day weekend. We'll see what she has to say tomorrow...

BWB The Trumpet - Obama's campaign is doing the right thing. When your opponent is digging themselves into a hole ... just stay silent and let it happen. In any case, Obama is focused on McCain. Clinton is yesterday's news. The best thing about Hillary's comments is that they should put an end to talk about her being VP candidate. You can't have a VP on your ticket that fantasizes about your assassination...

1206... - I agree with you. I would like to see the superdelegates come out right now if possible. I think Obama only needs 50-60 delegates...

Maybe she don't need to be his VP, the pundits are right. If she's his VP he will need a taste tester.

Mrs. Grapevine - I wonder if there is a formal position description for taste tester out there on Monster.com? Also, I wonder what those Black surrogates of Hillary Clinton are thinking tonight? They sure made the wrong bet this time...

Villager - I've been wondering what her Black surrogates have been thinking for quite some time now. I agree with DP. Hillary Clinton says and does nothing that is off the cuff. She is calculating and manipulative - and I can't be "mad" at her for that. That's the nature of politics and the price that one has to pay to be successful in that arena.

The the tactics she continues to use to manipulate and calculate are the issue for me. Hillary has grown up in the midst of white supremacy and priviledge. Her motivation is Hillary Clinton and she is willing to do whatever it takes to win. No matter who she steps on or over. Its all about Hillary and what she wants.

As far as I'm concerned Howard Dean and the other super-superdelegates of the Dem Party should not only demand that she get out of this race NOW - but should banish her to Survivor Island where she will be among other slithering creatures of the earth. There, I have no doubt that she would be right at home!

Sojourner - The big loser out of all this might be Bill Clinton. Now that Hillary's presidential aspirations are dust .. what reason does she have to stay with his lying a$$?

So it is...and let it be written!

If Obama even thinks of having her as VP, most folk may run the other way.

I’m just sayin’!

Believer - I agree with you wholeheartedly. Obama needs to come with a fresh name as his VP. Not Clinton. Not John Edwards. He needs to come out with someone fresh that helps him either with some electoral votes or the military experience aspect of the White House operation...

One thing is for sure. Obama appears to have pulled together a great team to run his campaign. Why should we expect anything less for the team he pulls together to run his White House, up to and including his VP nominee...

Villager,

It is due time!

I have maintained that if she was left to her own devices, eventually she would do her ownself in.

It appears that moment has arrived.

Should she be considered as a veep? OH HELL NO!
Why should Barack trust her. Why should we trust her?

I have had it with this woman. It is time for the DNC to get some balls about their collective selves and help put her out of her misery.

I'm really tired of this woman!

Lady D - It is actually sad in some ways to see her self-destruct as she has done. Her ambition outstripped her talents...

I couldn't agree with you more!

On a personal note, Villager, this blogger looks better and better every time I visit, with more content, more visual and aesthetic beauty, and more village community all the time.

This is a very powerful place in the AfroSpear and the afrosphere.
