Dick Gregory Apologizes to Bill Clinton
Yobachi left a comment in an earlier post about a rant that Dick Gregory had during the recent State of the Black Union event. Some villagers haven't seen it yet. Take a few moments and enjoy this political rant on Bill Clinton ... the so-called first Black president.

Lawdy, lawdy. I missed that one. He is a hilarious old man (laughing).
Yes, it's finally up. I've been waiting for it to get on youtube so I could do a post on it.
It wasn't there when I looked for it as of Monday.
Glad you got it up for us, Negroes need to see it.
I love him! He always speaks so passionately, and it's always on point. One of my favorite comedians.
Dick Gregory is awesome! He was the highlight of the symposium. I'm thrilled he was introduced to another generation.
Prime example of when Old Civil Rights Leader Go Super Nova and explode.
Last year it was Farrakhan. Next year it will be Jesse.
Dick Gregory is the TRUTH! Awesomely spoken and a must see for everyone!
Thanks, Villager!
SheCodes - I actually had forgotten how funny he is...
Yobachi - You inspired the post. I'm glad that I was able to get it up & running...
HottNitz - He has been on the scene for over 40 years. Amazing! Does he sell that juice stuff?
Vanessa - If Dick Gregory was the top show ... who did you think was #2?
Shazzam - Farrakhan was actually from 2005, but your point is well-taken...
Ms. Marvalus - Amen!
Here is a full interview he did a few weeks earlier where he touched on a lot of the same topics plus more. He was off the hook in this interview too, he just didn't have the crowd to hype him up.

Shazza and Villager, last year it was Dr. Julia Hare on “Leading Blacks”
I saw it. I love his story telling ability and how he was able to link a personal experience btwn him and his child and Bill.
Well done! of course, Cornell West was egging him on the whole time. LOL
Black & Married - Thank you for the link to another Dick Gregory video. I've placed that link into the main post for posterity...
Yobachi - Julia Hare! That was one video clip that made the rounds through the afrosphere over the past year...
Danielle - Yeah, Cornel West seemed to enjoy his role as chief encouragement officer from the center of the stage ...
I had Cornell West as a professor in college and was hooked on his Intellect. I recall in conversation with him as he broke down the three levels of Intellectualism.
The Intellect - someone who is well educated and has a command of common sense.
The Intellectual Sponge - Those that are Book Smart, they read and quote and like a sponge, can repeat back data and statistics that was soaked but no real NEW information to add.
The Intellectual Origin - Those that develop thought, move it, challenge what exist and are driven to evolve it beyond the now. Not to be confused with an idealist, the Organomist exist for changing Consciousness.
I was young and thought I knew what he meant but every time I attend and watch these annual Unions I get a larger understanding of how (Black) people get caught up and even riled up when someone says something smart and not understand where the ideas come from.
In my opinion, Dick Gregory comes from that Intellectual Sponge level where he has so much experience and do much information that as he has gotten up there in age and fewer and fewer Black people aren’t taking up the Work that was started and or not listening at all, its all just dripping out all over the place and making a mess. LOL
Seriously, if you really listened to Gregory, he is on point but he was so out of control he almost seemed like Hommie the Clown or the Crazy Drunk Man on the train needing his meds. Much love to him, we need to get it all down before he’s GONE.
villager, Cornel West was enjoying his role of standing in the spot light, even if it was somebody elses light.
Shazza Nakim - I often wonder if the venacular and speaking style that I see from Cornell West when he is on television is the same that he uses at home or in the classroom. I take it from your comment that the person you see on TV is the same as the professor that you had in class?
