John McCain Must Release His Health Records

John McCain has not yet released his medical records to the public. McCain is 72 years old, and has been diagnosed with invasive melanoma. In May of this year, a small group of selected reporters were allowed to review 1,173 pages of McCain's medical records that covered only the last eight years, and were allowed only three hours to do so. John McCain's health is an issue of profound importance.

We call on John McCain to issue a full, public disclosure of all of his medical records, available for the media and members of the general public to review.

Don't we deserve to know if John McCain is healthy enough to serve as our next President?

Wow...
I usually agree with your views, but this time I'll just respectfully vote "Present"!

Not sure if I agree with this one.
some people live to ripe old ages, some even pass the century mark. And some even live that long with health issues.
So the disclosing of medical records is a bit much. Somethings should be kept private and personal. Unless a medical disclosure is part of the candidacy requirements I don't see the benefits of this.
I understand that his health and/or age MAY be an issue but there has to be another way to appease the minds of the public. Perhaps an independent/outside consultant can review and release a statement testifying to his health, or something.
But as I said I don't know if I agree with demanding his medical records...

I don't know about that Villager. I remember when I was going through my divorce (and chemotherapy treatments at the same time) that my ex wanted to "subpoena" my medical records to prove I had cancer.

I have to agree with Regina, some things are private. If he has to then so will Obama. I don't know if I want folks to know I am on "Viagra" or "when was my last colonoscopy"

America just needs to know the FACTS!! what can this man do for our country..

Regina - There are a number of jobs where the employer is entitled to know your medical history. Being POTUS is one of those jobs ... and we, the American people, are the employer. It is tradition for medical records to be released. Why should McCain be any different ... unless he is trying to hide something that we should know. Especially in light of Sarah Palin being his running mate...

Irigal - Your health is none of the business of an ex-husband. However, your situation isn't the same as a person running to be POTUS (IMHO)...
