Palin's Daughter is Pregnant

Drumbeats from Huffington's Post tell us that John McCain's running mate Sarah Palin said Monday that her 17-year-old unmarried daughter is five months pregnant, an announcement aimed at rebutting Internet rumors that Palin's youngest son, born in April, was actually her daughter's.

A statement released by the campaign said that Bristol Palin will keep her baby and marry the child's father. Bristol Palin is five months pregnant, and the baby is due in late December.

Can you hear the air going out of the Sarah Palin balloon?

Let's hear it for the GOP 'Do as I say, not as I do' crown that Sarah pain is a proud role model for.

Can you hear what would be said if this was Obama's daughter at age 17

I don’t think McCain made the right choice by choosing Sarah Palin as a running mate. It just seems like an odd fit and a choice that is going to bring him more harm than good. But, I want Obama to win so more power to him!

huummmmm, this came out very quickly considering that the youngest palin child has been the internet buzz for a few days now...
Do you think McCain knew this prior to picking her... They did only meet once, I wonder if that was one of the things they discussed in that infamous meeting?

Too bad they waited until rumors were flying on the Internet about Trig being her daughter's son. While I won't blame her for her daughter's actions, it does speak volumes that the positions she advocates ring a little hollow--pro-contraception, when it is obvious her daughter looked the other way. I don't believe she should get married as a teenager because in most cases, divorce is the result. The bottom line is that there should be no surprises in politics. It tends to have an adverse reaction. Gov. Palin is an unknown and we don't need issues like this tumbling out of the woodwork while we are getting to know her. The latest is that she has now hired an attorney to untangle this mess with her brother-in-law. This tells me that when you lawyer-up, something is amiss. Why didn't she do this before. This speaks volumes about John McCain's vetting process. He manages to bungle his first major decision as a presidential candidate. What would he do as a president and why should voters have faith in Gov. Palin should be become the president if something happens to McCain, assuming he wins the presidency.

Hey, lets get real. If Malia Obama were 17 years old and pregnant you can bet your bottom dollar that McCain and his supporters would latch on to that and depict Malia as a baby mama. And they would paint her as a future welfare queen and an example of the lack of morals of black people in general.

The Right Wingnuts wants to play protect "poor Bristol Palin" and her "brave" parents? Give me a break! What kind of mother subjects her teenage, underage daughter to this kind of media scrutiny just for her ambitions? All I can say is double standard.

Hotep Villager!

It seems to me that the vetting process began without the McCain camp being in charge.

I do not know who should be credited for the story about Palin not being the mother of her son, but it seems that as a result of the rumour circulating on the internet, she had to confess up to what was true in this situation.

Palin was not McCain's first choice. It was Joe Leiberman. When they tested the waters of the GOP, they discovered that if he was put up as the choice for the Veep, there was going to be political bloodshed at the convention. The leadership was told that there would be a fight on the convention floor.

He wanted to hurl a long shot to see if he could take Obama out. That is why he picked Palin. (I got this information off of Meet the Press.)

It just shows that "Abstinence Only" only works for people who are abstinent. Appaarently, Gov. Palin was unable to convince her daughter to stay abstinent, and she also didn't teach her anything about birth control.

Anyway, getting married to "make it all right" isn't going to solve anything. Does the father even have a job that can support a family of three?

love it; i just put up a post about this as well! Isn't it crazy. McCain looses! lol

Monica & Regina - The thing that amazes me is that the McCain campaign didn't share this information at the time of her selection. Why wait until the media forces the information out of them?

Jazzy - The outroar would be unbearable if Obama's daughters were in similiar situation. I can hear it now, "he can't manage his household, how can he manage our nation?"...

Living Zimbabwe & Janet - Yes, they are a very ODD couple. I'm beginning to think that McCain is simply attracted to "beauty queens" like Palin and his current wife, Cindy...

Lady D - Hail Marys only work a very few times. It doesn't appear to be working right now for McCain. His judgement in making this pick is a clear indication that he is not ready for POTUS...

Francis - The father is Levi Johnston. He is a hockey player who just recently turned 18 years old. He can't support the new family...

Quick - I think you're right....

I think Obama has it right. such sincerity...such class! When he was asked asked about this situation he replied something to the effect that family affairs are private matters and children are definitely off limits.

i hope more of the media will follow suit and leave the daughter alone.
