A few days ago I shared information about the effort to unify the Democratic Party by requesting Hillary Clinton to concede the nomination. That movement continues to build momentum. The Afrosphere Action Coalition now seeks to enlist bloggers around the nation to participate in the Day of Blogging For Voter Justice that is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, March 25.

Asante sana to Francis Holland, Yobachi Boswell and PurpleZoe for their leadership on this blogging campaign.
If you are not a blogger ... you can still support this effort to unite the Democratic party in effort to take back the White House. Show your support by signing the online petition. What say u?

Villager - Consider it done...in fact it is! You're right - must keep our (my) eyes on the prize!

Oh Villager! Did you just hear Obama speaking of race/politics/unity? Isn't he awesome? I will print the transcript and parse it to fully appreciate his choice of words and phrasing....I think this puts all the ugliness of these past few days behind us.
Peace, Kat
BTW, signed the petition and was surprised to see that only 72 others signed.
Sojourner - Asante sana! Yes, it is important that we realize that we are in a process to select a president. We see what happens when we make a mistake in our selection (George W. Bush). Therefore, it is critical that we make this decision correctly....
Kat - At your request I will post the entire transcript of the Obama speech. It is the most important speech about race relations in America in my adult lifetime ... perhaps since the I Have A Dream speech of MLK.
re: Petition. It was only placed online yesterday. The campaign begins today and grows to crescendo next Tuesday with the Day of Blogging for Voter Justice...
Thanks, Villager, for posting the text. The analyst in me is itching to study it in depth. Lets all move forward!
Peace, Kat
Kat - I doubt that Hillary can claim he plagerized this one...
Villager, I did not mean that I thought he plagiarized it; only that I want to relish every choice of words and phrases!
Hillary couldn't come close if she tried.
Peace, Kat
Thank you so much for sharing this information with your readers. I hope many more will sign the petition, if they want Hillary to finally concede so that Barack Obama can claim the nomination that he has won by votes and delegates.
Francis - You and the others on the Afrosphere Action Coalition have done a great job in setting the stage for the Day of Blogging for Voter Justice. It should be interesting to see how the nation picks up on the opportunity...
