Villagers may recall the story of a Blackman being killed by taser-wielding cops in Florida.
Saying officers were legally justified in using deadly force, Miami-Dade prosecutors have cleared four (4) Coral Gables officers, for the January 2008 death of Xavier Jones, 29, who succumbed to 'excited delirium syndrome' associated with cocaine use.
Davis had been drinking and drugging with pals at the University Inn Apartments before he went berserk, ran out and laid down in traffic, crying that 'God was going to take' him.
To subdue him, two officers deployed their Taser stun guns. While handcuffed in the back of a patrol car, Davis cursed one final time, passed out, and died.
"The actions of the police officers in this case did nothing to contribute to the death of the decedent," said Miami-Dade prosecutors.Villagers, I'm still amazed that the prosecutors and others don't understand that the penalty for drinking and drugging in America is not death. When will these extra-judicial electrocutions be stopped?

Villager: I'm doing research on how many people have died from being tasered in the last two or three years. My guess is quite a few; and my guess is that most were-- guess who?-- African American males. But I'm still doing the research.
This phenomenon is becoming very serious.
MacDaddy - Here is a list of over 400 taser deaths in North America...
Also, you may want to reach out to AAPP. He hosts a blog called Tasered While Black.
I will. Thanks.
Cops cleared...what else is new?
Thank you for linking to my site, http://truthnottasers.blogspot.com. I have been tracking taser-related deaths for several years and I believe my list is quite comprehensive. Another very good website maintained by a fellow Canadian blogger is www.excited-delirium.com.
Hello there,
While I agree that drinking and drugging should NOT result in murder...let's not overlook the fact that this person was NOT in control and was berserk...
Just a note to the brothers out there who think that Amerikka is a country where ALL are treated equally... IT ISN'T and there is a concerted effort to annihilate black men in this nation.
Monica - Things need to change...first, the actions and behaviors of Black men need to change. Second, the reaction of police officers need to change. Finally, the promiscuous use of tasers needs to change...
Realty Chick - I appreciate the time and effort that you have placed into this matter. I notice that you track all of North America. Does that really just mean Canada and United States? Do they use tasers in any other North American country?
BWBTT - Amen!
