Lester Street Massacre Leaves Four Adults and Two Toddlers Dead in Memphis

Police found nine people (four adults and five children) inside 722 Lester Street in Memphis earlier this week. Only three of the children were alive. The father of the five children was 29-year old Cecil Dotson. He was one of four adults and two toddlers murdered in the home.

Memphis Police discovered the bodies of Cecil Dotson (shown in photo), Hollis Seals, Marissa Williams, Shindri Roberson, and two young boys at the house on Monday, March 3, 2008. This wasn't a simple killing like we see on television. These killers were sadistic. The children were killed and cut-up and the parents were forced to watch.

These were horrific murders. One of the victims, Shindri Roberson, was shot twice in her kneecaps and then suffocated. One of the toddlers died with a knife stuck in its skull and all of the fingers were cut off another child. [SOURCE].

Another victim, Marissa Williams, filed a restraining order against Cecil Dotson in 2005. Despite the order of protection, it appears that Marissa Williams lived with Dotson and their children at the Lester Street house. The two of them were dysfunctional. The police came to their home twice last month for violations of the restraining order.

A few weeks ago a police report filed showing Cecil Dotson and his 33-year old brother, Jesse, getting into an argument. According to the incident report, Jessie tried to take his brother's leather coat. When Cecil told him to give it back, Jessie pulled a gun.

Jesse Dotson is not a good guy. He was released from prison last year after serving 13-years in prison on a second degree murder charge. While in prison officials say he was disciplined 29-times. The incidents include hurling verbal threats at employees. He's also accused of shanking an inmate. Investigators say they believe it was gang related ... perhaps the MS-13 gang? We shared information on the MS-13 gang with you in our earlier discussion of the Jamiel Shaw murder. Sources now say that the Lester Street massacre may be result of drug incident involving the MS-13 gang and Cecil Dotson. [SOURCE]

Officials at Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center released a statement today regarding the children who survived the Lester Street attack. "The three children who were victims of the Lester Street incident remain in protective custody at Le Bonheur Children’s Medical Center. With the Memphis Police Department, we continue to ensure that these children are never alone and are receiving the care they need. The security of our patients is our top priority, today and every day.

Are you hearing about this horrific crime on the mainstream media (MSM) in your area?

hello --

some time ago, i wrote on my blog about the case of megan williams in west virginia. you commented on my entry and i am writing now to find out how you found my entry/my blog in the vast world of the internet. i have been starting to write on the blog again and would like to get more people visiting it. and really, just wondering if you somehow found my blog by searching and if so, how did you do the search?

i really appreciate the stuff i read here. so many things go unreported by the mainstream media and even the so-called liberal media such as NPR. the stories of people or issues that don't conveniently fit into the mainstream agenda are so easily silenced and we don't even know what's being hidden from us. so i just think it's really important to share stories that are otherwise ignored.

thanks, and again any insight on how to get more hits on my blog would be great.

Sara - Click here for some ideas on how to market your blog.

As for how I found your blog message ... I use Google Alerts extensively. It is a good way to have information flow to you instead of you having to go chase after it...

I heard about it on Fox News and on CNN. Other than that, it has not been dealt with in great detail on shows like Nancy Grace and Greta Van Susteren. Actually they have been featuring the two white college kids who were murdered earlier this week. My heart goes out to the families of these two girls, who are both from Georgia, but it is a real shame that they did not feature this atrocity as much as they could have.

Okay, I just want to know why they released that picture of Shindri. That is very disturbing! I'm not saying you should take it down but that's just ... damn.

I have no words for this kind of horror. It's just awful, beyond anything that I care to store in my memory.

Janet - When a police officer is shot the entire force is mobilized to find the killer. I hope that the Memphis Police Department is equally motivated to find the killers of this family ... especially those toddlers. And if the MSM won't act ... then it is up to us to beat the drums...

Deidra and Boo - There were two other pictures showing the gunshot wounds for this young woman that I didn't post. Death is not pretty and these murders were extremely grisly ... Manson-like ... and I hope that we don't let the killers get away with it...

Shelia - I understand and feel your pain...

These are horrific murders and its the kind of stuff that makes me ready to endorse judge, jury and executioner tactics by the police on the perps. These are clearly humans who have decided to be animals, to not accept any boundary or rules for what they do. Such people are not deterred by the prospect of prison. I hope the police find them and if they are killed in the course of arrest, I will count that as a just result. We serve an Almighty God and he is worthy because all of us, these victims, and even these killers, are precious to Him. But he is also a God of perfect justice, and whether that justice is delivered by the hands of men in this life or by our Lord and Savior in the next, it will be delivered.

Aaron, Alaine & DN - I hope that the Memphis police catch the perps in this case as well. The atrocity done to the toddlers at the Lester Street was beyond the pale...

Mr. Villager-

thank you for removing that picture of the young murdered sister. it struck me as disrespectful. it deeply saddens me that even in death her humanity is not being respected.

there is another blogger posting her funeral home pictures without the permission of her family for the world to see. i hope he goes to jail for how he obtained them.

i was too angry to respond initially when i saw it. i am working diligently on being angry and sinning not:-) plus i thought you would be sick of me by now, beating on that self love, acceptance and respect drum.

thank you again:-)

blessings!

Hello,

Just saw this case on First 48 one of my fave shows. As it turns out the brother Jesse confessed to the horrific rime. At the end the survivin sister stated that Jesse held alot of hatred in his heart toward the family because he feels like the abandoned him during his 13/14 year bid.

I found the case saddening. I did not know of the details so I googled it and lo and behold I found this entry. I was shocked about the gruesome details. OMG What would make him do that to th children his own blood.

We need prayer

FocusedPurpose - I'm glad that I removed the picture as well. I see that the funeral home that allowed the picture to be taken has been punished. I'm glad that the killer was captured as well.

Camille - 'We need prayer'! A truer statement has never been uttered. Thank you for visiting my blog. I hope you come back for more again in the future...
