Villager,

I am really urging black folks to get some knowledge about the black farmers. This is one helluva lawsuit! It has been a real eye opening education for me about racism in the agri-business sector.

This is has been a tremendous battle for black farmers! They have been at it with USDA since the Clinton Administration. Billions of dollars are going to be paid out due to proven discrimination on the part of USDA. It may not be 40 acres and a mule, but justice needs to be served.

I have been blogging about this for a couple of months because of my family's background in farming and my interest in the case.

I will check out your other recommendations as well.

Happy Hunting on your next trip out! :-)

Lady D - I recall the story of the Black farmers a few years ago. However, I must admit that Carmen's post was the first that I heard about it recently. Your comment will cause me to check it out in more detail...

peace, Villager
